Although I've never met her, I know her husband and went to school with his sister... Shalayne recently added a post to her blog about the little things in life.... and then Candie posted one on hers in response to Shalayne's. Now I've got an itch to share my little things, especially after I re-read Shalayne's and saw at the end that she'd actually asked us to share! :)
Here recently, a handful of things have caused my heart to swell:
- Feeling Baby #3 roll in my tummy
- Ava's speech. The way she calls llamas "mamas." And she says "bi-cle" instead of bicycle.
- Tucking Stevie into bed at night, realizing that she's 7.5 years older than when I first started tucking her in.
- Nicolas, putting his hand on my belly as we're falling asleep at night.
- Zeus, on the ottoman at my feet. When I get up to go to bed at night, he stands up and head butts me as if to say "g'night!"
- Athena, on my pillow pawing at my head so I'll let her under the covers cause she's cold.
- Sunrise drives to work... green fields covered in yellow daffodils kissed in dew.
- Saturday trips to the post office with Ava.
- Watching Stevie at swimming lessons, proud that she's finally brave enough to have water in her face.
- Catching Nicolas admiring how big his baby girl is.
- Phone calls and emails with my Aunt Vicki.
This list DEFINITELY isn't all inclusive... but it's a little insight into what jumpstarts my life every day.
