The vacation villa in Bracciano is simply romantic. (too bad 3 kids and a squeaky bed kill the romance!) From the rooftop terrace, we have a gorgeous view of the lake and behind us is the "famous" castle where Tom Cruise married Katie Holmes (we're gonna go see that on Friday!)
We conquered Rome! The Pantheon, the Colosseum, St Peter's Square.... The Vatican! (let me tell you - that was a heart swelling, breath taking moment!) Definitely one of THE most beautiful cathedrals I've ever been in.
We've done Ostia. We've swam in the Mediterranean. We've waited 5 hours on a train that was delayed due to fires that crossed the tracks.
Tomorrow, hiking Mount Vesuvius and visiting Pompeii...
