Well, after much consultation with our personal finances... rethinking our budget... and deciding if this was what was best, we've reached a conclusion! *drum roll please....* We bought a mini-van. But not just ANY mini-van. A 2010 Honda Odyssey. So while it's a mini-van, it's a SPORTY one. ;)
I'm freakin' excited ok? I've got two kids... we've packed into what feels like a small Mitsubishi Endeavor for the last 3 years. We've hand carried a portable DVD player for Stevie. We've piled TONS of crap under the kids feet to go on long road trips. It's all going to change in about 2 weeks though when the van comes in. We'll have ROOM for stuff... and BUILT IN DVD PLAYERS! The best part is, it's the first brand new vehicle I'll ever have owned. It's in my name. I didn't need a co-signer. So I'm freakin... EXCITED!
Does this make me officially old? I mean I did just turn 30, and now I own a mini-van... oh well... who cares? I'm gonna sport that space like it's a mustang baby!
Congrats! I drive an Endeavor too and I hear ya...they are pretty smallish. We've talked about how nice road trips would be in a van, but I just don't know if I can pull the trigger?!??! It does seem so 'mom-ish', but hey...we are, right!? Keep me posted...I'll be taking notes!

ReplyDeleteI have SO many friends that have broken down and bought mini vans. They all love them, and I'm sure you will too! I'm hanging onto my Tahoe as long as I can :)
