I'm thankful for unconditional love. I'd lost sight of what it was over the years, and the family that I married into has brought that back for me!
It had become a subconscious layer to expect to have to give if I received... when I met my husband's family for the first time, I thought those people were so fake! They were all so NICE! My guard was definitely up - what the heck did these people want from me? Why are they being so nice?!
MUCH to my surprise - they wanted nothing but to accept me, and be accepted in return. They loved me. They took in my Stevie and they loved her as their own. They have all been nothing but kind and caring since we married into them. I am SO THANKFUL for that!
