The 4th of July... Yeah yeah, the stars and stripes, fireworks, hot dogs... cookouts. Big deal! We've been celebrating in the SAME way for the last 30 years of my life. This year? I celebrate with a certain 2.5 yr old who has found HER freedom...

That's right ladies and gentlemen... Ava has officially been in panties for over 24 hours (to include THROUGH the night) with only one minor accident this afternoon. She's insisten on being the big girl, and gets irritated when you ask her every 20 minutes if she needs to go pee pee on the potty. She'll give you the evil eye and shout NOOO!!! She prefers to go when she's good and ready.
Today, daddy went to the back of the house to get dressed for the afternoon and when he returned he found Ava, sitting on her potty taking a poop! All on her own!
So in honor of a holiday about independence, here's you to Ava.... my littlest BIG GIRL! (now, just start eating more cause your butt isn't big enough to hold up those little panties haha!!!)
YAY! The best kind of freedom in the life of a mom :) And hey, you'll have freedom from buying diapers AND new clothes for a while - it's like their little pants just shrink - hehe!! Way to go, Ava!
